This application is free to use, and there are no restrictions on the number of SMS messages that can be imported. Simply transfer the exported file from your Windows Phone to your Android device, and let the app take care of importing your SMS messages from your Windows Phone.

Import SMS from Windows Phone diligently searches through both the internal memory and SD Card (if available) for any backup files from your Windows Phone, offering you the choice to selectively import SMS messages from specific numbers or opt for a bulk import.

Please note that due to recent SMS permission restrictions implemented by Google, users with Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo devices may encounter limitations in the import process, while other devices remain unaffected.

HOW TO USE:

1. Export SMS messages from your Windows Phone using:
   - 'contacts+message backup app' for devices without an SD Card
   - 'contacts+message' or 'Transfer my Data' app for devices with an SD Card
2. Transfer the exported files (VMSG or MSG) to your Android device via USB, Bluetooth, etc.
3. Launch 'Import SMS from Windows Phone'.
4. Grant the necessary permissions for the application to function.
5. Tap on 'Import messages,' and let the app locate the files for you.
6. 1. If multiple files are found, a list containing all files will be displayed. Choose one by tapping on it to initiate the reading process.
   2. If only one file is detected, it will be promptly read.
7. You can opt to import messages from specific numbers or import all messages at once.
8. For Android 4.4 and above, authorize the switch for 'Import SMS from Windows Phone' to become the Default SMS App temporarily.
9. Wait for the restoration process to finalize. Restore your previous Default SMS app after completion.
10. Navigate to your Android message box to find all your imported messages from your Windows Phone.
